Vegas Baby, Vegas!!

Driving through 113 degree heat and seeing nothing but barren wasteland and then there it was, Las Vegas. We tried to push the gas tank to see if we could make it to the city and we decided it might be cheaper outside. Cheaper was $4.29, by far the highest we paid so far. Once in Vegas we got to the Tropicana and immediately met a huge line to check in. We waited in line for about an hour to check in and when we got there, we asked about an upgrade and it cost $20 a night. Obviously, we upgraded. From our room we had a sweet view of the Strip and we knew it was going to be a good night. We all dressed to impress and were ready for the town. Our plan was to go down the Strip and hit up each casino on the way. Liz met us about three casinos in and at that point me and Steve had already fluctuated a couple hundred dollars, but were right around even. From there on, my night was great. To sum it up I played roulette all night with $100 bets (which I thought was smart). At the end of the night I had won $1000 profits, Joe was up $300, and Steve had broken even. My favorite quote of the night was Steve, "J-Mo you have taken to the craziest places I've ever been, and I love it." At one point, I threw down a $400 bet and Steve had thrown down $200. We are idiots. But I guess you play big to win big. I felt like I was on top of the world. Next day I didn't want to bet at all, but what else was there to do. Thanks to Liz, I found a supermarket going out of business and selling off all alcohol for 50% off. So I figured I could occupy myself with that. We needed to complete our tour of the strip that night and as much as I tried to hold back, I ended up losing $200. But leaving Las Vegas with $800 in my pocket, I was still happy. Now we are about to begin our tour of Cali, which should be a great time. And so it goes...
